Meanings

saj , sájati, sájate, PPP saktá v (q.v.) P trans, hang on or together; Ā intrans. hang on (A), cleave or stick to (L); P. sajyáte hang on (L), sajjate (ti) be hung on or attached to (L); cleave, stick; lag, tarry; be intent upon or devoted to (L). Caus. sañjayati attach, connect with (L); sajjayati fix on, attach to (L); copulate i.e. prostitute.

 

vyati mix or join mutually.

anu hang or stick with (I), add; P. anuṣajjate hang on, adhere or cling to (A or L), devote one's self to or occupy one's self with (L).

abhi utter a curse; lay a claim upon (L).

ava P hang or fasten upon, commit or transfer to (L). P. avasajyate be hung or fastened; avasajjate cling or attach one's self to.
