bódhati v (bódhate), búdhyate (ti), PPP buddhá (q.v.) wake, awake (intrans., r. trans.); watch, notice, heed (A or G); perceive, learn, know, understand, regard or know as, take for (2A), present with (A of pers. & I of th.). Caus. bodháyati awaken, revive, restore to consciousness, cause to notice, attend, or understand; remind of, teach (2A). Des bubhutsate wish to know or learn.
